PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV RECEIVES FILA PRESIDENT RAPHAEL MARTINETTI
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received at the Presidential Palace Monday the President of the International Federation of Associated Wrestling Styles (FILA) Raphael Martinetti.
Speaking of the significance for Azerbaijan to host the World Freestyle and Greco-Roman Wrestling Championships in Baku, the President expressed confidence the event will be a great contribution to both development of sports in the country and expansion of its international relations in this field.
He informed the FILA President on the recent intense development of sports infrastructure in Azerbaijan including construction of new world standard sports complexes across the country. 
Raphael Martinetti said the Baku World Wrestling Championship was very well organized, and thanked the Azerbaijani leader for his support of the event.
The FILA president highly praised the government’s care for development of sports in Azerbaijan, noting he has been watching with great interest what has been done to support youth education in the country.
Finally, President Ilham Aliyev presented Raphael Martinetti with “Shohrat” order of glory for his services to development of wrestling in Azerbaijan and expansion of international relations.
