Expressing satisfaction with his visits, J. Blatter said sport is rapidly developing in Azerbaijan. He added that thanks to governmental care to sports, Azerbaijan strengthens its stance on international arena in this field.
President Aliyev said economic progress in the country stimulates development of sports.
The Head of State said this visit is of great importance for promotion of sport.
For their contribution to development of football in the world, President Aliyev presented to J. Blatter Honorary Diploma, and to Michele Platini the “Shohret” (Glory) Order.
J. Blatter presented to President of Azerbaijan FIFA’s memorial emblem.
