Prime Ministers of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan hold talks
Baku, November 29 (AZERTAC). Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyayev held negotiations with Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Jantoro Satybaldiev in Tashkent.
Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Jantoro Satybaldiev arrived in Tashkent to participate at the twelfth session of the Council of the heads of the governments of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyayev and Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Jantoro Satybaldiev discussed wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation.
He called his Kyrgyz counterpart to entrust ministers to hold talks on expanding cooperation between themselves. He said that the visit is good opportunity to exchange opinion on bilateral cooperation and find ways of solution in some tough issues.
Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Jantoro Satybaldiev said that Kyrgyz side is open for constructive dialogue on all issues of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz relations.
He said that there are issues, which the side should solve based on mutual interest. He said that Kyrgyzstan pays great attention to expansion of trade-economic relations with Uzbekistan. He said that joint commission should play key role in solving these issues.
Jantoro Satybaldiev noted that no session of the commission has been held since 2009. Kyrgyz Prime Minister also called for regular contacts of the regions, which located along the Uzbek-Kyrgyz border. He said that this will strengthen good neighborhood relations and develop trade, solve border problems.
At the meeting, the sides considered water-energy issues, supply of gas, mineral fertilizers, operation of border crossing points, etc.
Kyrgyz Prime Minister invited Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyayev to visit Kyrgyzstan in any convenient time.
