Qabala`s Ozobic called up to Croatia national team

Midfielder of Azerbaijan`s football club Qabala Filip Ozobic has been called up to the Croatia national team for the first time, as head coach Ante Cacic announced a squad for China Cup 2017.
The 25-year-old midfielder is going to join up with his domestic teammates in January 2017 as the head coach of the provisional team wants to check him out before the team leaves to Nanning for the tournament to be held during January 10-15. The championship will be joined also by China, Chile and Island. The first tie will be between China and Island on January 10th before the next day when Chile will face Croatia. Losing sides will meet on January 14th for the third place as the winners will come on the all-important match the next day.
Ozobic has been playing for Qabala since last summer. Although he fielded for Croatia’s national squads of U16, U17, U18, U19, U20 and U21, it may be the debut match of the red-black footballer for his national A team.
