RUSSIAN DELEGATION TAKES WALK IN ICHERI SHEHER

Vice-Prime Minister of Russia, Chief of Staff for the Cabinet of Ministers Sergey Naryshkin and members of the Russian delegation took a stroll in the Icheri Sheher (Inner city) on August 31.

The Russian delegation became familiar with the “Azerkhalcha” Carpet manufacturing enterprise, Azerbaijan Carpets exhibition hall, personal museum of Kamil Aliyev, Karvansaray and Maiden’s Tower.

The Russian visitors were informed that government of Azerbaijan pays a special attention to protection of historical monuments in Baku. President of Azerbaijan signed a decree “On “Icherisheher” State Historical and Architectural Reserve”, and “Icherisheher” state historical and architectural reserve department was set up under the Cabinet of Ministers.

Russian Vice-Premier was presented with a carpet, books and videotapes on Baku and Icherisheher.
