SAM expert delivers speech at GDN 14th annual conference

Baku, June 19 (AZERTAC). Expert of the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of Azerbaijan (SAM) Mahir Humbatov has made a speech at the 14th annual conference of the Global Development Network (GDN) on “Inequality, Social Protection and Inclusive Growth” held in Manila, Philippines.

According to the SAM, the Azerbaijani expert`s speech covered themes on “Inequality of Opportunity and Outcomes in the Arab Region” and “Poverty and Redistribution in Post-Communist Countries”.

The attendees also saw discussions over a number of themes, including “Fostering Inclusive Growth in East Asia: The Role of Various Sectors in Society”, “New Approaches to the Measurement of Inequality and Vulnerability in the Crisis”, “Investing in Public Infrastructure: An Effective Inclusive Growth Strategy?”, “Features, Governance Characteristics and Policy Implications of NonState Social Protection in Africa” and “Inequalities in Latin America at the Turn of the Century: The Role of Gender, Ethnicity and Labor Markets”.
