SAMIR ASKARKHANOV CONTEST SUMMED UP
Minister of National Security, colonel general Namig Abbasov noted that the contest to mark the 85th anniversary of the Ministry of National Security is aimed at bolstering media in the fight against policy of terrorism and genocide pursued by Armenia and other manifestations of international terrorism and extremism.
President of the International Cultural Society “Bakili” Fikrat Zarbaliyev presented to Namig Abbasov a prize “Humay” for services in issuing the short chronological encyclopedia in Azerbaijani and Russian languages “Crimes of Armenian terrorist and criminal groups against the humanity (XIX-XX centuries)”
Then, prizes in all nominations were given to winners.
In the journalism, scientific research, modern information propaganda, nomination the first prize was given to the book “Crimes of Armenian terrorist and criminal gangs against humanity (XIX-XX centuries)”
The second prize was bestowed upon doctor of historical sciences, professor Yagub Mahmudov and candidate of historical sciences Karim Shukurov for book “Karabakh from ancient times to the present”.
In cinema and fine arts nomination, Gulshan Aliyeva got the first prize for her documentary «Bloody terror».
The documentary “Pirate Island” by Arzu Gaziyeva, documentary “Onbeshillerin turkusu” by Mustafa Geruryilmaz and Agasi Guna (Turkey) won the third prize. Ulker Sailova, author of painting “It is enough sorrow, Azerbaijan” won an encouragement prize.
The jury unanimously awarded a purse to out-of-contest film “Plague” written by late Samir Askarkhanov to his father Eldar Askarkhanov.
Family members of leaders of the first independent security body of Azerbaijan Mammadbagir brothers and Nagi Sheikhzamanov were awarded a Diploma.
Henceforward, the Samir Asgarkhanov Prize will be presented on the anniversary of security bodies of Azerbaijan.
