SEMINAR-CONFERENCE HELD IN SHAKI
Ministry of Agriculture of Azerbaijan has initiated a zonal seminar-conference dealing with fulfillment of the tasks set by the State Program of Social and Economic Development of Provinces. Participating in the event were heads of the Center for Agrarian Science under the Ministry, its related departments and leading specialists, as well as specialists in agriculture from Oguz, Shaki, Gakh, Zagatala and Balaken regions.
Director General of the Republican Center for Agrarian Science Asad Musayev told of importance of the State Program, and stressed the need to prepare appropriate proposals on each region to define mechanism of solving the tasks envisaged.
The seminar participants have had a comprehensive opinions exchange on revival of tobacco-growing and silkworm breeding considered as two most important branches of the region, as well as on development of grain growing, creation of high quality seed reserve, improvement of cattle species etc. and put forward appropriate proposals.
