SEMINAR ON “MASS MEDIA AND ELECTIONS” HELD
Ombudsperson Elmira Suleymanova has told about the pre-election process coming to an end has emphasized value of the Order of the President “On improvement of election practice in the Azerbaijan Republic”. Ms. Suleymanova spoke about carrying out in institute before the next elections of a cycle of actions, seminars, and the organization in separate regions of educational work among the population. She has noted necessity of constructive statements of journalists for carrying out of propagation of elections, maintenance of active participation of citizens in this important political campaign.
Chairman of the Press Council of Azerbaijan Aflatun Amashov has emphasized, that transparent coverage of elections depends on professionalism of journalists, and has told: “On basis of articles published in press during all election campaign, and materials of electronic mass media should be a principle of pluralism of opinions, freedom of expression, objectivity, the society should receive the unbiased information”.
Chairman of National TV and Radio Council Nushiravan Maharramov spoke of the work done for coverage of elections in electronic mass media.
