Head of Azerbaijan`s state oil firm, SOCAR, Rovnag Abdullayev met with director of the State Agency for Management & Use of Oil & Gas Resources under the President’s Office of Turkmenistan Bayram Muradov and his accompanying delegation.

Abdullayev said a forthcoming joint energy conference in Baku will contribute to developing the bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.

He recalled Turkmen President Gurbangulu Berdymukhamedov`s last month visit to Azerbaijan, describing it as a success.

Bayram Muradov said his country set up a relevant working group to deal with preparation for the Baku conference.

He expressed gratitude to the Azeri government for the decision to host the joint energy conference, and said he believes the event will be fruitful for both countries.

Chairman of Turkmenistan President`s State Enterprise for the Caspian Sea, Deputy Foreign Minister Khoshgeldy Babayev was present at the meeting.
