SOCAR PRESIDENT MEETS WITH TURKISH DELEGATION
President of State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) Rovnag Abdullayev has met with Turkey’s Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Sami Demirbilek and accompanying delegation.
Speaking of Azerbaijan`s 15-year achievements in oil-gas industry, Rovnag Abdullayev provided the guests with information about the large-scale international projects implemented in the Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea, and pointed out the successful exploitation of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas pipelines.
Head of the Turkish delegation Mr. Demirbilek said, in turn, that Azerbaijan-Turkey relations have always been on a high level noting the new government is keen on deepening of friendship and cooperation between the two countries even further. He described the long-term cooperation between Azerbaijan’s SOCAR and Turkey’s BOTASH as a good example of successful cooperation.
The sides also exchanged views on the issues concerning transportation of natural gas from Shah Deniz field via Turkey to Europe.
