STATES OF COMMONWEALTH SHOULD UNITE IN COMBAT AGAINST INTERNATIONAL TERRORISM
In the conference, in which representatives of the state structures of Russia and the various public and non-governmental organizations took part, necessity of coordination of efforts of all world community, and also closer cooperation for this process of the CIS member-states has been marked.
So, speaking at the conference, the representative of the HQ the Ministry of Defense of Russia Alexander Vakhrushev informed that the terrorist organizations represent direct military threat for the CIS countries. He emphasized that the greatest threat of stability in territory of the CIS countries now is represented with ideology of extremism.
In A. Vakhrushev's opinion, for effective combat against terrorism, it is necessary to neutralize organizational structures of the terrorist organizations. In combat against terrorism on the post-Soviet space, the representative of the Russian defense ministry said that the main is to actively combat against the extremist ideology. “ On this, it is necessary to direct the basic efforts of the CIS state authorities, and numerous power structures created within the framework of Commonwealth, such as the Antiterrorist Center of the CIS, should in every possible way promote to this, create conditions for effective combat against the international terrorism ”, A. Vakhrushev stressed.
All speakers were unanimous in the opinion that realization of ideology of extremism by the terrorist organizations represents military threat to safety of this or that state. This evil has no nationality, and for all states of Commonwealth it is necessary to cooperate more closely at the state level in this direction.
