World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day and New Year celebrated in Stockholm

A festive event marking the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day and the New Year was held in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden.
Organized by the Sweden-Azerbaijan Union (SAF) and the Fund for Support to Azerbaijani Diaspora, the event brought together over 70 diaspora representatives.
In her remarks, SAF Chairwoman Sevda Dadashova congratulated the participants on the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day and the New Year, emphasizing that December 31 symbolizes more than just a date; it represents the shared identity and patriotism of Azerbaijanis worldwide.
The event featured the performance of the National Anthem.
Addressing the event, Asgar Naghiyev, First Secretary at the Azerbaijani Embassy in Sweden, hailed the SAF’s efforts to promote culture and support youth in the country, affirming the Embassy’s commitment to future cooperation.
Remarks were also delivered by Aygul Yusubova, Chairperson of “Aphrodite" Cultural Association, Nargiz Yusifova, young poet and writer, and visiting guests from Azerbaijan, including director Er-Toghrul Kamalov and journalist Leyla Huseynova.
The event concluded in a festive atmosphere with traditional dances, games, gifts for children, and a spectacular fireworks display.
