World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day marked in Riyadh

The Azerbaijani Embassy in Saudi Arabia held an event to mark December 31 - World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day and the New Year holiday.
The event was attended by employees of the Azerbaijani embassy and representatives of the Azerbaijani community living in Saudi Arabia.
Addressing the event, Ambassador Mutallim Mirzayev highlighted the importance of the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day in uniting Azerbaijanis globally, reinforcing their shared national identity, and fostering love for the Motherland.
Touching upon the history of the establishment of Solidarity Day, the ambassador noted that it is associated with the name of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev to unite Azerbaijanis globally, a policy successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev, fostering national unity and safeguarding interests, with celebrations connecting millions worldwide to their Azerbaijani identity and statehood.
The diplomat also noted that the Azerbaijani community living in this country plays a crucial role in fostering relations between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia.
In his remarks, Professor of Mathematics at the King Saud University, Mubariz Garayev, hailed the work done by the embassy to strengthen the unity of Azerbaijanis living in Saudi Arabia.
