Xeros Introduces Water Free Washing Machines
Baku, February 4 (AZERTAC). Leeds University has invented a path breaking technology which will save tons of water every year. ‘Xeros’ has introduced a washing machine which will not use any water at all.
The washing machine without water is based on plastic beads technology. Plastic beads help remove dirt stains and bad odors from fabrics. The company claims that this new technology will not only save water but also reduce the detergent powder use significantly.
After a long research, professors from Leeds University have come up with polymer based washing machine. Polymer beads along with detergent powder and a cup of water gets loaded while washing. The process has been described as highly efficient and cost effective. The machine will reportedly use 50% less electricity than a normal washing machine.
The company has claimed that beads are reusable. Once the process is complete, beads are spun out of the load and then get ready for reuse after sump pump. The initial phase of research has shown a great result and machine is on its way to cater domestic laundry needs.
Technology has always amused world with new opportunities and possibilities. Water free washing machine might start a new dawn at a time when water scarcity has become a major threat to existence of human beings.
