YAP EXECUTIVE SECRETARY MEETS IRAQI TURKMEN DELEGATION
On Thursday, vice-chairman and executive secretary of New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) Ali Ahmadov met the delegation of Iraqi Turkmen, the Party`s press service said.
Ahmadov pointed to cultural, language and religious ties between the Azeri and Iraqi Turkmen people.
Ali Ahmadov noted that Azerbaijani people are not indifferent to destiny of Turkmen people in Iraq, and worry about the unstable situation in the country.
He also stressed that Azerbaijani peacekeepers participate in the stabilization of Iraq.
YAP`s executive secretary stressed it is very important that Iraqi Turkmen have equal rights as other peoples living in the country, adding it will help to stabilize the situation in the region.
The Iraqi Turkmen delegation expressed their satisfaction with visiting Azerbaijan
