ZAGATALA SILKWORM BREEDERS KEEN ON EXPANSION OF RELATIONS
Representative of the open joint stock company “ Shaki-Ipak” has recently visited Zagatala, held meetings with the heads of the region, specialists and farmers, discussed prospects of development of this branch and further expansion of cooperation.
According to the preliminary agreement, for strengthening of the material and technical base of silkworm breeding, the open joint stock company “ Shaki-Ipak” will promote growing in the farms of the 200 thousand saplings of mulberries delivered from Japan, AzerTAj correspondent was told at Zagatala executive power.
The “Shaki Ipak” will purchase each kg of silk cocoons for 6.000 manat, each kg of pedigree cocoons for 10.000 manat.
Increase of production of cocoons in the region will make positive influence on supplying “Shaki-Ipak” Company with the local raw. It should be reminded that the joint stock company purchased 400 tons of dry cocoons in sum 1,6 mln dollars from Uzbekistan.
