2020 Chess Olympiad to be held in Khanty-Mansiysk

The 2020 Chess Olympiad will be held in the Russian city of Khanty-Mansiysk. This decision was adopted by the FIDE General Assembly in Baku. In addition to Khanty-Mansiysk, Argentina and Slovakia were contenders for hosting the Chess Olympiad. After some discussion, preference was given to Khanty-Mansiysk.
The 2018 Chess Olympiad will be held in Batumi, Georgia.
