2nd INTERNATIONAL YOUTH FESTIVAL “DEVELOPMENT” OPENS IN SOCHI
The second International Youth Festival “Development” started in Sochi, Russia, press service of the All-Russian Congress of Azerbaijanis said.
The festival is held under the slogan “Educated Youth - Strong State”.
Opening the festival, its President, chairman of the International Confederation of Cinematographers, People`s Writer of Azerbaijan, Rustam Ibrahimbayov, stressed “such festivals create opportunities for lively contacts between young people”.
The festival`s director general, Svetlana Sosnova, said this year`s event brings together young people from over twenty Russian regions as well as Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.
The festival features master classes on various themes including intellectual environment, social adaptation of foreign students in Russia and strategy of state youth policy.
The festival also featured a reception dedicated to Azerbaijan, which included performances by Azerbaijani musician, a student at the Russian Gnesinykh Musical Academy, Samir Ahmadov, singers from Baku Zaur Amiraslanov and Tural Aliyev, and “You and Me” band from Astrakhan.
The festival was organized with support from the All-Russian Congress of Azerbaijanis, Azerbaijan State Committee for work with Azerbaijanis living in foreign countries and Azerbaijan Ministry of Youth and Sports.
On Thursday, the festival will feature master classes by Rustam Ibrahimbayov.
