Aktau, May 7 (AZERTAC). The Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Aktau and the Kazakh Caspian State University of Technologies and Engineering have co-organized an event marking the national leader Heydar Aliyev`s 90th anniversary.

The event was attended by teaching staff and students of the University, members of the Azerbaijani diaspora and journalists.

In his speech, Consul General in Aktau Rashad Mammadov provided an insight into national leader Heydar Aliyev`s life and activity.

He also highlighted the work of the Consulate General, saying it set up a Heydar Aliyev scholarship for five students of the Caspian State University of Technologies and Engineering.

The diplomat handed 500$ and Azerbaijan-related books and souvenirs to each of the five students.

The event featured demonstration of a documentary on national leader Heydar Aliyev.
