® Red Hearts Foundation impacts thousands of lives over five years

The Red Hearts Foundation, established on the initiative of Kapital Bank volunteers and quickly gaining recognition through large-scale social projects, continues to uphold and develop our nation’s charitable traditions and plays a key role in fostering a culture of philanthropy in Azerbaijan. This year, the Foundation celebrated its fifth anniversary.

To mark the occasion, the Foundation brought together friends and partners at the now-traditional event “Ürəksən” (You are Heart), during which the five-year report on the organization’s activities was presented to the public.

The event, hosted with the support of The Ritz-Carlton Baku, gathered Foundation representatives, donors, partners, employees, and volunteers and was remembered for its engaging program and warm atmosphere. Opening the evening with a speech, Farid Hidayatzada, Board member, Chief Corporate Sales Officer of Kapital Bank, emphasized that the Foundation’s greatest strength lies in unity: “Being a banker, manager, or entrepreneur is a matter of career. But sharing care for others is a matter of character. At Red Hearts, we have proven that our team consists not only of skilled professionals but also of genuinely good people. I sincerely thank everyone who walks this path with us.”

In his address, Yusif Poladov, President of the Red Hearts Foundation, presented the Foundation’s report for the current year as well as for the past five years, covering the areas of “Society”, “Environment”, and “Animal protection”. The report highlighted projects supporting socially vulnerable groups and individuals in need of material and moral assistance, events in orphanages and shelters, aid campaigns for low-income families, an educational scholarship program, various health awareness initiatives, large-scale tree-planting campaigns across the regions, coastal clean-up projects, support for animal shelters, social partnership initiatives, and detailed statistical data on dozens of implemented projects.

In 2025 alone, the Foundation received a total of 476 063 AZN in donations from 10 900 contributors. Thanks to these funds, 6 247 beneficiaries received support with the participation of 462 volunteers.

The five-year results of the Foundation’s work drew great interest from the event participants. Presenting the achievements, Yusif Poladov shared his excitement and pride: “We could never have imagined that the journey started by only 49 volunteers would bring us to this scale. Today, we are an organization that helps people turn their dreams into reality. Over the past five years, 50 804 donors have joined us. While the initial donations totaled only a few thousand AZN, today the amount has reached 5 003 100 AZN. Starting with aid to families in need, we now implement large-scale projects across four key areas.

Over these years, more than 9 500 kg of waste has been removed from nature, 3 257 kg of batteries collected and properly disposed of, and 7 298 trees planted in memory of our martyrs across 30 cities and districts. 66 families of martyrs and veterans have been provided with housing. 74 students received educational scholarships totaling 155 060 AZN. Thousands of families from socially vulnerable groups received financial aid and holiday gifts, and 300 families were placed under the Foundation’s long-term care.

Throughout this process, more than 400 volunteers and over 30 partners have worked alongside us. These figures are not just numbers. Behind each one lies a human life and a story of impact. We take pride in living this story together. Congratulations to all of us.”

At the conclusion of the event, partners who have supported the Foundation’s charitable mission throughout the years were presented with the “The Golden Heart Award”. Among the honorees were Kapital Bank, PASHA Holding, PashaPay, PMD Group, PASHA Real Estate, PASHA Investments, PASHA Technology, PASHA Life, and The Ritz-Carlton Baku. Following the awards ceremony, the evening continued with a cultural program.

“Red Hearts” was founded in December 2019 at the initiative of Kapital Bank employees. The organization, which operates as a foundation from 2020, mainly contributes to the formation of a culture of philanthropy in our country. Addressing sensitive and important issues such as environmental protection, ecological balance restoration, education, training, and enlightenment, “Red Hearts” engages in social initiatives.
