ADA Conference on Mind, Society and Transformative Education wraps up
Baku, January 8 (AZERTAC). A conference on Mind, Society and Transformative Education, organized by Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy (ADA), has ended.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Azerbaijan`s deputy FM, ADA rector Hafiz Pashayev highlighted the Azerbaijani government`s attention to development of education in the country. Mr. Pashayev highlighted ADA`s plans, saying they include opening a secondary school under the Academy.
A keynote speech was made by Dr. Eleanor Duckworth, renowned developmental psychologist, retired Professor at Harvard Graduate School of Education.
The conference featured speeches, discussions and Q&A sessions by Gopal Krishnamurthy, Co-Principal at Brockwood Park School, Dr. William Ayers, formerly Distinguished Professor of Education and Senior University Scholar at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), and Founder of the Small Schools Workshop and the Center for Youth and Society, and Dr. Simon Boxley, Senior Lecturer in Education, University of Winchester, Shamsiyya Mustafayeva, ADA Associate Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Vafa Kazdal, Dean of the School of Humanities and Sciences.
