Angelina Jolie to gift Brad Pitt 12.2 million heart-shaped island
Baku, November 25 (AZERTAC). Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie is buying a 12.2 million heart-shaped island, called ‘Petra’, for her partner Brad Pitt on his 50th birthday.
The Oscar-winning actress visited the island last week and was immediately convinced that it would be a perfect birthday gift. She was thrilled after discovering Petra has two cottages designed by Pitt’s favorite architect Frank Lloyd. The first house was built nine years before Wright’s death in 1950 and the other was constructed in 2008, which is regarded as amongst the architect’s most spectacular designs.
“As soon as Angelina heard the island was on the market she arranged a viewing. She was really impressed,” a source revealed to media.
“The house is perfect for romantic getaways or as a family retreat. It’s very private. And Angelina knows the fact the island is in the shape of a heart will mean so much to him.”
The 11-acre Petra, which also features a helipad, is located 50 miles north of New York City and is accessible by boat.
The ‘World War Z’ actor and architecture enthusiast, who will turn 50 on December 18th, was once reported as saying, “when I discovered Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Frank Lloyd Wright, it changed my life.”
