ANNOUNCEMENT OF PRESIDENTIAL PRESS SERVICE
On 7 November, President of the Republic of Moldova Vladimir Voronin telephoned President of the Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev to extend his congratulations on the occasion of successful conduct of parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed gratitude to his Moldavian counterpart stressing the confidence that the parliamentary elections held in a transparent and democratic atmosphere would play a key role in political development of Azerbaijan.
Both President expressed satisfaction with successful development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Moldova in various fields noting the importance of further development of cooperation within international organizations including GUAM.
During the conversation the heads of sate also discussed a number of other issues of mutual interest.
