ANTI-CRISIS PROGRAM TO HELP EXPORT-ORIENTED COMPANIES IN AZERBAIJAN

Baku, March 23 (AZERTAC). The anti-crisis program prepared by the government of Azerbaijan envisages assistance to export-oriented enterprises amidst ongoing international economic crisis, chairman of the Milli Majlis commission on economic policy Ziyad Samadzadeh said.

The program also includes actions to strengthen financial discipline, development of non-oil sector and ensuring social security of needy groups of population.

According to Samadzadeh, the work to prepare the program was sped up after President gave instructions at the Cabinet`s meeting on socio-economic development results in 2008.

Preventive measures to weather the economic crisis are also scheduled under the program
