Astana, May 2 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan Embassy in Kazakhstan and SOCAR have co-organized a conference to mark the 90th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev at Rixos Hotel.

The event brought together government officials and parliamentarians from Kazakhstan, ambassadors, representatives of international organizations, activists of Azerbaijani diaspora and journalists.

The event featured demonstration of a film about national Heydar Aliyev.

Ambassador Zakir Hashimov highlighted national leader Heydar Aliyev`s life and activities, and praised what he had done for Azerbaijan.

The diplomat stressed the role of national leader Heydar Aliyev and Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev in developing the bilateral relations.

The conference also featured speeches by head of Kazakhstan Office of SOCAR Vurgun Jafarov, KazTransOil Director General Kairgeldy Kabildin, former ambassadors of Georgia and Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan Zurab Gumberidze and Andar Shukputov. The speakers shared their memories about national leader Heydar Aliyev.
