ASTANA HOSTS INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON FAMILY POLICY
Kazakhstan’s capital, Astana, hosted the international conference titled «Family policy at the post-Soviet space in 21st century».
The conference was organized by the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament, the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly’s Standing Committee on Social Protection and Human Rights, as well as Unicef’s and UN’s Fund representative office in Kazakhstan.
The conference gathered Kazakh parliamentarians, members of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly’s Standing Committee on Social Protection and Human Rights, as well as officials of CIS member countries’ health ministries and representatives of international organizations.
Chairman of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly’s Standing Committee on Social Protection and Human Rights, head of Azerbaijan Parliament’s Commission on Regional Issues, Arif Rahimzade, and Kazakh MP, Aytgul Samakova, addressed the conference on family policy and children’s and parents’ rights.
