AZERBAIJAN AND TURKMENISTAN END ASHGABAT ROUND OF CASPIAN STATUS TALKS

Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan have completed another round of talks on the legal status of the Caspian Sea in Ashgabat on Friday, press service of Azerbaijan`s Foreign Ministry reported.

Before the talks, Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov and Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov discussed bilateral relations between the two countries.

Both officials stressed Azerbaijan-Turkmenistan relations have noticeably enhanced after the two presidents` recent meetings, especially that in Saint Petersburg.

Rashid Meredov said Turkmenistan will soon open its embassy in Baku.

During the Caspian Sea status talks, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan discussed a wide range of legal issues.

The two countries decided to hold the next round of talks in Baku in September.
