AZERBAIJAN DELEGATION MEETS JORDAN KING
Azerbaijani delegation met Tuesday with King Abdullah II as part of their Jordan trip aimed at attending the 7th Special Operations Forces Exhibition and Conference, SOFEX.
Azerbaijan`s minister of defense industry Yavar Jamalov is leading the large delegation including deputy defense minister Lieutenant-General Chingiz Mammadov and other high-ranking officials.
During the meeting with the Jordan King, Yavar Jamalov conveyed to him greetings and best regards from Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev.
King Abdullah II said his country places particular emphasis on development of relationships with Azerbaijan.
He also asked the Azerbaijani minister to convey his best wishes to President Ilham Aliyev.
Following the meeting, the Azerbaijani delegation met with Jordan`s prime minister Nader Dahabi.
Yavar Jamalov expressed his gratitude to the Jordanian government for inviting a delegation from Azerbaijan to take part in the SOFEX 2008.
Jamalov said he believes their current trip will give a push to further enhancement of relations between the two countries.
As part of the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation will also meet with Khaled al Sarayrah, Chief of the Joint Staff of Jordan`s Armed Forces, and Moayad Samman, Chairman and CEO of the King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau.
