AZERBAIJAN DEPUTY FOREIGN MINISTER VISITS KINGDOMS OF JORDAN, MOROCCO
Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Republic Vagif Sadigov visited the Kingdom of Jordan on November 7, Azerbaijani embassy in Morocco said.
Mr. Sadigov met with Foreign Ministry Secretary General of the Kingdom of Jordan Khaldoun Talhouni and the chief of Asia and Africa States Department of Ministry Mohammad Siraj.
They stressed the importance of cooperation within the international and regional organizations for both countries, as well as noted the necessity to expand legal bases for existing relationships between Azerbaijan and Jordan.
The meetings discussed the issues on development of bilateral cooperation.

From Jordan, Sadigov left for the Morocco Kingdom on November 9. Azerbaijani Deputy Minister met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Taib Fassi Fihri.
Taib Fassi Fihri cordially welcomed Sadigov. He stressed the importance to develop relations on economic, culture, humanitarian and other spheres. He also underlined the success of Morocco-Azerbaijan cooperation within international organizations, especially in UN and OIC.
Sadigov noted that the basis of Morocco-Azerbaijan relations was established by former King Hassan II of Morocco and Azerbaijan’s nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev and at present Moroccan King Mohammed VI and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev continues these ties.
Then, Sadigov delivered to minister the congratulation from his Azerbaijani counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov on his appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs and a letter inviting him to visit Azerbaijan.
The same day, Azerbaijani official met with Moroccan Secretary of State to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Ahmed Lakhrif.
Sadigov underlined the great importance to Azerbaijan on bilateral relations with Morocco. He noted that the cooperation between the two countries has great potential.
Later Sadigov met with Speaker of the Chamber of Representatives of Morocco Mustapha Mansouri.
He congratulated Mustapha Mansouri on his appointment as Speaker to the Chamber of Representatives and delivered him the Chairman of Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament) Ogtay Asadov`s letter inviting him to visit Azerbaijan. Mustapha Mansouri spoke about the role of Parliaments on relations between the two states.
Then, Sadigov met with Director General of the Islamic Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri. The meeting discussed cooperation ties between Azerbaijan and ISESCO, as well as events, included Azerbaijani days in ISESCO`s headquarter in 2008, and ISESCO days in Azerbaijan in 2009.
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Morocco Sabir Agabeyov accompanied the Deputy Minister at all meetings.
Mr. Sadigov gave an interview to Moroccan press on the results of his meetings.
