AZERBAIJAN, EGYPT: EDUCATION TIES EXPANDING
Mr. Mardanov told of historical roots between the two nations, development of cooperation in the field of education and other fields.
The Minister said, today, some of Azerbaijani students get education in Egypt, as well as Egypt students study in Azerbaijan.
The Chairman of Egypt-Azrerbaijan Interparliamentary Friendship Group, Ahmad Omar Hashim, Ambassador of Egypt to Azerbaijan Yusif Ahmad Ibrahim al-Sharkawi told of the importance of bilateral cooperation between the two countries and recalled the visit of Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev to Egypt, on May 2004, which gave impulse to developing ties between the two countries.
Touching upon the Armenian-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict, the guests said they support Azerbaijan in this matter and will further support the Azerbaijani side.
