Azerbaijan, EP discuss prospects for cooperation
Baku, May 17 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of State Committee for Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov has met with Slovakian members of the European Parliament (MEP) Boris Zala, Katarina Nevedalova and Head of the European Azerbaijan Society (TEAS) in Belgium Roman Huna.
The MPs viewed photo stands reflecting projects implemented for improvement of the social welfare of the Azerbaijani refugees and IDPs, as well as a map reflecting the Armenian aggression against Azerbaijan during 1988-1993s.
Stressing the good opportunities to develop the Azerbaijan-EP relations, the Deputy PM underlined the importance of the reciprocal visits to present Azerbaijan`s realities to the world.
Ali Hasanov noted that the international organizations condemned Armenia`s aggressive policy against Azerbaijan. The Armenian occupation is a threat not only for Azerbaijan`s, but also for the region`s security.
Hailing Azerbaijan`s achievements over the recent years, MP Boris Zala said that Slovakia was keen to cooperate with Azerbaijan. He also proposed establishing the Azerbaijan-Slovakia Trade Chamber.
