Azerbaijan-France intergovernmental economic commission convenes in Baku
Baku, November 26 (AZERTAC). The 7th session of the Azerbaijan-France intergovernmental economic commission has been held in Baku.
The session was co-chaired by the Azerbaijani Minister of Finance Samir Sharifov and French Minister for Foreign Trade Nicole Bricq.
Samir Sharifov praised the economic relations between the two countries. He said Azerbaijan`s successful foreign policy under President Ilham Aliyev greatly contributed to developing the bilateral ties. “Azerbaijan is one of the major trade partners of France among the CIS countries. The two countries have so far inked 42 documents to create and strengthen legal framework for their relations.”
“Partnership between Azerbaijan and France covers many areas, including trade and investment making, urban planning, energy, civil aviation, finance, aeronautics, agriculture, sport, renewable energy, transportation, and environment,” said Sharifov.
Bricq said France was determined to develop its relationship with Azerbaijan in many fields.
