“Azerbaijan, Greece relations are at high level”

Baku, May 8 (AZERTAC). Former Greek minister of foreign affairs Theodora Bakoyannis said Azerbaijani and Greek relations are of high-quality.

She said: “For me, this is my fifth visit to Azerbaijan. My first visit took place as the Foreign Minister of Greece to Baku. The Greek leadership works on strengthening of the relations with Azerbaijan. We are continuing to get our relations to be stronger and stronger. Greece supports Azerbaijan in international arena. I believe that we will be able to show our very close cooperation to the world in European Olympic Games.”

“Greece under President, tries very hard to help on the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, the Parliamentary Assembly of Europe should be get much more involved in the settlement process. I believe that President Ilham Aliyev is one of the few leaders who have deep knowledge. Azerbaijan should make every effort, which can be done under President Ilham Aliyev to come closer to the European Union,” Mrs. Bakoyannis added.
