AZERBAIJAN HAS SUFFICIENT GAS FOR NABUCCO

Baku, February 22 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan has enough gas reserves to fill the Nabucco gas pipeline, first vice-president of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Khoshbakht YUsifzadeh said.

“Azerbaijan`s gas deposits reach over 2 trillion cm including 1.2 trillion in the Shahdeniz filed, 300 bln in the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli fields and remaining amount of gas lie in other fields,” Yusifzadeh noted.

Azerbaijan, Iran, Turkmenistan and Iraq are expected to provide Nabucco project with gas.
