Azerbaijan National Commission for UNESCO, International Turkish Academy mull cooperation

First secretary of the Azerbaijan National Commission for UNESCO Gunay Efendiyeva and president of the International Turkish Academy Darkhan Kidirali discussed the prospects of cooperation.

G. Efendiyeva congratulated the guest on his appointment as president of the Academy. She stressed the priority areas of cooperation with member countries of the Azerbaijan National Commission for UNESCO and expressed hope to continue these relations.

President of Academy Darkhan Kidirali expressed pleasure of being in Azerbaijan, and spoke about the future plans and projects of the organization. He said the Academy’s key goal is to promote Turkic languages, literature, history, cultural and spiritual heritage of Turkic peoples.

Also it was noted that, these directions are very important in terms of the areas covered by UNESCO.
