Azerbaijan, Northern Cyprus explore enhancing healthcare cooperation

Teymur Musayev, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Health, met with a delegation from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), led by Minister of Health Hakan Dinçyürek.
During the meeting, Health Minister Teymur Musayev emphasized that cooperation between Azerbaijan and the TRNC has been developing successfully across various fields, including healthcare. He noted that there are favorable opportunities to expand cooperation through the exchange of professional experience in healthcare, as well as in medical education, healthcare management, digital health, the organization of healthcare services, and other areas.
Teymur Musayev also provided detailed information on the healthcare reforms implemented in Azerbaijan in recent years, including the digitalization of the healthcare system, the modernization of medical infrastructure, and measures undertaken to ensure the population's access to high-quality healthcare services.
TRNC Health Minister Hakan Dinçyürek stated that his country attaches great importance to developing cooperation with Azerbaijan in the healthcare sector.
He noted that the exchange of experience in medical education, specialist training, the organization of healthcare services, digital health, and health tourism would be beneficial for both sides.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on expanding cooperation in healthcare and medical science, the participation of healthcare professionals in reciprocal training programs, the development of collaboration in medical research, opportunities for cooperation in health tourism, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
