Azerbaijan, Republic of Korea discuss military cooperation
Baku, July 14 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan’s defense minister colonel-general Safar Abiyev has today met a delegation of the Committee on National Defense of the Republic of Korea`s National Assembly to discuss military cooperation.
They hailed relations between the two countries, and discussed military situation in the region.
Minister Abiyev briefed the delegation on the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. He noted: “Armenia continues to occupy Azerbaijani lands for over 20 years.”
The minister expressed regret over “fruitless activity of the OSCE Minsk Group”, which mediates the dispute.
Members of the Republic of Korean delegation noted that the country is keen to boost cooperation with Azerbaijan, particularly in the military area.
Republic of Korea`s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Choi Suk-inn was present at the meeting.
