AZERBAIJAN, SAUDI ARABIA EXPAND RELATIONS
Delegation of the Kingdom is visiting Baku to take part at the second round of negotiations concerning double taxation agreement between the governments of two countries. The negotiations will complete on 8 September, Embassy of the Kingdom in Baku said.
The relations between fraternal countries successfully develop in the frame of numerous international organizations and forums, including the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC). As is stated, on 13-14 September, the Seventh meeting of the OIC information ministers will pass in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Ali Hasanov, head of socio-political department of the President Office will represent Azerbaijan at this event.
At the action, discussed are expected the issues of establishment of active links with the foreign media to bring the truth of the Islamic world to the world community, observation of pluralism by mass media. The conferees also will focus on the protection in media of the Islamic values and interests, conducting a campaign of the national televisions (tele-marathon) of the OIC member states for collecting money to prevent humanitarian disasters, ways and mechanisms to raise the role of mass media in the frame of Organization.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will actively take part at the forthcoming Baku Conference of OIC member countries, 11-12 September. Secretary General of the Supreme Tourism Organization of Saudi Arabia, Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud will lead the country’s delegation himself. In the frame of Conference, the Prince will hold series of official meetings.
Another delegation of the Kingdom is expected to visit Azerbaijan on 8-17 September.
