Azerbaijan, Uruguay sign agreement on development of cultural ties

An agreement on development of cultural relations was signed between Azerbaijan and Uruguay.
The document was inked during the meeting of Azerbaijani minister of culture and tourism Abulfas Garayev and visiting Uruguayan deputy foreign minister Jose Luis Cancela.
Prior to the signing ceremony, they spoke of the diplomatic relations between the two countries, which have been established in 1994, and stressed the necessity for strengthening of the ties.
Deputy minister Jose Luis Cancela said Uruguay has always backed Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity.
Mr. Garayev invited Uruguayan deputy foreign minister to the 7th Global Forum of UN Alliance of Civilization to be held in Baku on April 25, 2016.
