Azerbaijani Ambassador meets Florence Mayor
The Ambassador highlighted Azerbaijani-Italian relations and the results of President Ilham Aliyev`s July visit to Italy.
Sadigov said Italy had been a trade partner of Azerbaijan for a long time, praising the growth of bilateral business relations and the organization of joint cultural events.
Nardella spoke of industrial progress of Florence. The Mayor stressed the importance of the Italian government`s decision on TAP, adding there were wide opportunities for expanding the economic relations at bilateral and international levels.
As part of his visit the Azerbaijani Ambassador also attended a meeting of Promo Firenze, the Special Agency of the Chamber of Commerce of Florence, managing the business development and internationalization matters.
Opening the meeting, which brought together a number of businessmen interested in Azerbaijan, president of Promo Firenze Claudio Bianchi said the business circles of Florence were keen to find new international partners.
The Ambassador addressed the meeting to draw the audience`s attention to economic development in Azerbaijan, the country`s economic relations with Italy, potential cooperation fields and joint projects. “The economic potential of Italy is largely concentrated in regions, so the Azerbaijani government pays special attention to relations with Italy`s regions.”
