Azerbaijani ambassador presents credentials to Vietnamese President

Baku, May 17 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani ambassador to Vietnam Anar Imanov has presented his credentials to President of this country Truong Tan Sang.

The ambassador conveyed greetings of President Ilham Aliyev to Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang.

The Vietnamese President, in turn, asked the diplomat to convey his greetings and best wishes to President Ilham Aliyev.

Ambassador Imanov said Azerbaijan was interested in development of cooperation with Vietnam.

The diplomat also spoke of the ongoing developments in the region, political and economic accomplishments achieved in Azerbaijan.

The ambassador also briefed the President on the history of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and current state of negotiation process to resolve the problem.

The Vietnamese President called Azerbaijan an important country in the region.

Truong Tan Sang expressed confidence that Anar Imanov would make every effort to contribute to development of Azerbaijan- Vietnam relationship.
