Azerbaijani boxers into quarterfinal at AIBA Junior World Championships

Baku, September 9, AZERTAC

Four Azerbaijani boxers have reached the quarterfinal of the AIBA Junior World Boxing Championships in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Orkhan Hasanov weighing in at 54kg, Sayad Lalayev at 63kg, Mahammad Abdullayev at 81kg and Bakhtiyar Gazibeyov at 60kg progressed to the quarterfinal after defeating Danish Hassan Jallaw , Israeli Mohamed Abu Riash, Romanian Ionut Boho and Hungarian Mata Lakatos respectively.

Hasanov will next face German Nick Bier, Lalayev will clash with Kazakh Aibol Zhambyrbay, Abdullayev will lock horns with American Richard Torres, while Gazibeyov will fight against Cuban Edel Garcia Acosta.
