Azerbaijan`s Defense Minister Safar Abiyev is leading a high-ranking military delegation to Kyrgyzstan.

The Minister started his visit by laying a wreath at a monument at the Victory Square in Bishkek.

Safar Abiyev met with his Kyrgyz counterpart Ismayıl Isakov and they signed a bilateral Action Plan “on education of the Kyrgyz Defense Ministry servicemen in military schools in Azerbaijan” and “on military cooperation between the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan and Defense Ministry of Kyrgyzstan”.

Following the meeting, the Azeri Minister said in an interview to journalists that his country is interested in boosting cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in all areas including military one.

Abiyev said the number of Kyrgyz servicemen studying in Azerbaijan will increase in future.

The Azeri Minister`s itinerary also included the Kyrgyz National Military Lyceum after Dair Asanov and a military unit.
