Azerbaijani Embassy in Libya marks national leader Heydar Aliyev`s 90th anniversary

Baku, May 17 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan’s Embassy in Libya has organized an event marking the 90th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev.

The event was attended by members of diplomatic corps accredited in Libya, and Azerbaijanis living here.

Addressing the event, Azerbaijan`s ambassador Aghasalim Shukurov briefed the participants on the life and activity of national leader Heydar Aliyev.

The Ambassador said Heydar Aliyev`s successful oil strategy and major projects initiated by him ensured long-term development of Azerbaijan. “Today President Ilham Aliyev successfully continues the national leader`s political course.”

The ambassador also briefed the event participants on Azerbaijan`s achievements in political, economic, social and humanitarian spheres.

The event participants saw a photo exhibition featuring life and activities of national leader Heydar Aliyev.
