Azerbaijani Embassy in Turkmenistan marks national leader Heydar Aliyev`s 90th anniversary

Ashgabat, May 11 (AZERTAC). The Azerbaijani Embassy in Turkmenistan has organized an event dedicated to the 90th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev.

Addressing the event, Azerbaijan`s ambassador Vahdat Sultanzade briefed the participants on the life and activity of national leader Heydar Aliyev. He noted Heydar Aliyev returned to power in 1993 upon insistent demand of the Azerbaijani people. The diplomat pointed out the national leader started the process of independent state building, adding Heydar Aliyev took important steps to ensure stability and security in the country.

Sultanzade said national leader Heydar Aliyev`s successful strategy and major projects initiated by him ensured long-term development of Azerbaijan. “Today President Ilham Aliyev successfully continues the national leader`s political course.”

The event participants saw a documentary on the life and activities of national leader Heydar Aliyev.
