Azerbaijani FM meets Sri Lankan Minister of Petroleum Industries

Baku, May 9 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani FM Elmar Mammadyarov has met Sri Lanka`s Minister of Petroleum Industries Anura Priyadarshana Yapa as a part of his trip to Sri Lanka.

They discussed prospects for development of energy cooperation between the two countries.

“Sri Lanka is interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan in the energy sector,” he added.

Minister Yapa noted that Azerbaijan has a good experience in training oil and gas specialists.

Mr. Mammadyarov said that once his country was a part of former Soviet Union, students and specialists from a number of countries studied and were trained at Azerbaijan`s educational establishments. He also called on Sri Lankan specialists to use the rich experience of Azerbaijan.
