Azerbaijani kung fu fighters garner 12 medals in Turkey world cup

Baku, October 25 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani kickboxer Emil Hajiyev (55 kg) won a gold medal in the full contact division after beating Iranian and Russian rivals in the World Cup in Kayseri, Turkey.

Anar Suleymanov claimed silver in the 65 kg full contact division.

Senior fighter Jalal Gasimov won a Kung Fu Light gold medal, while Araz Abdullayev, Bahruz Hasanov, Veysel Gambarov, Goshgar Aliyev, Emin Samadov took the second spot.

Nijat Abbasov and Majid Abdurrahmanly ranked third in the junior section.

In the tueisho division, Elnur Abbaszadeh beat Indian and Kuwaiti athletes to claim the title while Goshgar Aliyev took a Taolu bronze medal.

The 13-strong Azerbaijan team competed with teams from 17 countries including Turkey, Kuwait, UK, India, Georgia, Cyprus, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan.
