‘Azerbaijanis were also among those who fought for liberation of Rodez’

On behalf of our organization, which always commemorates those who gave their lives for France, I would like to thank each of you, as well as the Embassy of Azerbaijan in France for this initiative. Our organization always pays tribute to those who fought for France’s liberation, especially the Aveyron department, Nicole Shira, Vice President of the Aveyron “Souvenir Français,” an organization established in 1887, to commemorate the memory of those, who gave their lives for France, told AZERTAC.
“Azerbaijanis were also among those who fought for the freedom of the Aveyron department. This monument once again testifies to the bravery and heroism demonstrated by Azerbaijanis,” she noted.
According to her, the memory of those who fell in the struggle for the liberation of Rodez still lives in the hearts of its residents today.
