AZERBAIJAN’S AMBASSADOR TO MALAYSIA MEETS PREMIER OF COUNTRY
Azerbaijan`s Ambassador to Malaysia Tahir Karimov attended iftar arrangement organized for staff of this country’s Foreign Ministry, foreign ex-ambassadors and the ambassadors of the OIC member countries.
A. Badawi, Prime Minister of the country, addressing the participants, spoke of nobilities of sacred Ramadan, stressing that Islam is one of the most progressive world religions. He paid the attention of the guests to the increase of negative tendencies against Islam in the West, saying it is necessary for Moslems to break such stereotypes. Consolidation of the Moslem world is an important factor in this, he emphasized. At his words, the Moslem countries should develop their bilateral relations to assist vulnerable Moslem countries. Malaysia has already launched such a program in the framework of Technical Cooperation, he said.
Ambassador of Azerbaijan met with Prime Minister to hand over the letter of invitation of President Ilham Aliyev to visit Azerbaijan. The invitation was accepted.
